Foreword

I wasn’t going to write a review on this actually but seeing as how inactive I am and that I do have some time on my hands since it is a one week off after all, I decided to just write something. Anyway This is quite an unexpectedly decent eroge. The theme already intrigued me but the overall surprises and climaxes in this story was really pulled off quite well. Let’s get on with the review shall we.

Story

You start off as Kai, a guy who lost all his memories and is lying in the middle of a forest with no idea where to go and what to do. Walking around he finds a beautiful lake. But all he could do was laugh as he had no idea where he was.

Then….

she appeared. She invited him to join them and live together with them.

She brings him to this mansion where he’ll live, together with 11 other people. In a forest where no one knows.

There we go. I didn’t feel like putting any spoilers at all since this eroge really rely on the surprise factor to pull off most of it’s climaxes.

So first off the review on the story…

Well it’s not a pure romance story that’s for certain. The protag can and will die in the story. Not just once too. So be prepared to get killed over and over as you play this eroge. Which is fine by me considering all the factors that lead to his death.

That said however, once you manage to enter into one of the heroine’s routes, you’ll be greeted by their entire past and also bits and pieces of your past. That’s actually what’s so intriguing actually, the past life of these girls. Not to mention the protag. The gradual unfolding is what I liked best about this eroge.

They did try to pull in the factor of laughter but I find the jokes rather weak in this case and I didn’t really laugh much. Still it’s better than a straight tragic story right?

The tragic sense of this eroge makes you sympathize with the characters, thus making it a factor for you to actually want to see what would happen to them afterwards. A good idea seeing as how I would rather read about a character I give a damned about right?

Overall I think the story part in this eroge is excellent and quite a refreshing change from all the other typical eroges. It’s definitely recommended that you play this eroge for the story, even if it’s just for the story.

Characters

櫂 (Kai)

Protagonist. Rather moody but always willing to help. Doesn’t remember his past. Good in sports and the violin. Also he’s not that much of a ヘタレ protag. So that’s quite a good thing. He’s actually understanding. Wow.

みちる (Michiru)

She’s so called the leader in the group. At least everyone listens to her as she lived in the mansion the longest. Soft spoken and ladylike, she has the trust of almost everyone and dictates most of the rules in the place. Quite scary when angry though. She probably the most mysterious of the lot since it’s quite obvious that she has a lot of secrets.

Her evil face

知紗 (Chisha)

Well this one’s a little… too playful. But the kids love her. Helps out a lot too. A bright and cheerful character. But sometimes, she says something unexpected. Personally my favourite character as her story is quite unexpected and has many different sides to it.

She can be a good mother at least =D

空音 (Sorane) and 陸乃 (Rikuno)

Didn’t see the point in separating these two as they are one and the same. Everything they do is exactly the same. Talking included. Quite a scary combi once you think about it. Twins who are exactly the same… Anyway, they are kinda cute and can be sarcastic at times. Oh and they love reading the future from tarot cards

Awwwwww

灰奈 (Haina)

Quite the introvert. Also clumsy. Still she will always try her best to help others. Loves to clean which kind of explains why she wears the maid uniform… not. Anyway, she thinks of herself quite lowly. Oh and she’s really bad at studying too.

Well she makes a good maid on all accounts

紡 (Tsumugi)

LOLI. Nuff said. Ok maybe not. Unexpectedly (or not) she’s actually the same age as the protag. Behaves like a kid, loves to sleep and hates studying. She loves to sew, which is actually the only thing she’s good at actually. Sticks to Michiru a lot and always gets into quarrels with Chisha. Always says the wrong things.

沙羅 (Sara)

Mysterious person who seldom leaves her room. She doesn’t leave her room much at all and doesn’t talk to anyone. Her food is always sent to her door. No one really knows much about her. One of my favourites.

真希奈 (Makina)

A girl who arrived after the protag. No idea who she is and is quite afraid of everything that’s happening to and around her. Quite a straightforward character and because she’s unstable mentally, a lot of quarrels ensued because of it. Nobody likes her much. Unfortunately.

Art

So finally we’re done with the characters. A tad much don’t you think?

Let’s get on with the art.

To be honest I’m not impressed by the art. It’s rather typical. The colors were nice though, it’s gives a very contrasty and animeish feel. But other than that I didn’t think it was that great. Then again playing too much stuff from Nitro and Abhar eroges.

Overall decent. Nothing better nothing worse.

Music

They went towards a very classical feel. Since it is a mansion and all. I got no idea what instrument they used but it’s mostly calm and serene music. Of course, they do have a few outstanding pieces. For example my favourite is BGM12 which sounds absolutely tragic and wonderful. Quite a nice soundtrack but then again, I love classical so best make your own judgement.

H scenes

There’s quite a lot of scenes actually, a grand total of 21. Then again, this eroge has a LOT of characters with the addition that it’s frickin long so that’s not really that much per se. Quality wise… well it’s decent I guess. I didn’t really find much interest as the story was more interesting than the H scene. I wouldn’t recommend to get this game for the H scenes though.

Conclusion

Actually, I find that the story element really outshines almost everything in this eroge. It’s excellent. The other elements not so much. But I would highly recommend you to get this eroge if you have the patience (for it is quite long) to play it. It’s definitely gonna be worth it.

And here I thought I would get an easier job over time. >_>;

Foreword

Now then. It’s been quite a while. The main draw point of this eroge is probably as I would repeatedly say, the art. It’s just fantastic.

This time round though, unlike suiheisen, it isn’t a story that hangs on hope or determination. Well maybe a little determination. But this time it’s more of an emotional roller coaster, and it’s also confusing but at an acceptable amount.

If you’re reading this just to know whether you should play it or not, stop reading and just play it. PLAY EET!

Story

Akiyama Sou, an average protag all around. He’s in a club that takes care off random stuff like eradicating people who mess up the school to catching ghosts. What’s worse, it’s the Astronomy club >_>;. Together with him are a few trustworthy friends where they joke around finish the task on hand.

So one night, he stays in the school late at night because he got beaten up by the karate club and is healing his wounds. Suddenly, the building shakes.  Shocked, he runs up the stairs to where the shaking seems to start and then he finds…

Yes she’s naked.

What’s worse is that she wakes up and then she… cries out his name and start sprouting stuff about why he left her.

No actually, what’s worse is that his childhood friend went up at the same time and saw him holding her. There, his life ended….

Not. He went back and explained everything to her. She accepted his explanation, with quite a lot of doubt but that’s something else.

The next day though, she asks if she could join the club he’s in. What’s more, she seems to know about the incidents happening around the school. She’s hiding something. Something big.

And there we go with the summary.

If you wanna know more just play the damned trial/prologue XD

So let’s get the ball rolling with the actual review of the story.

At first, this eroge would seem like any old eroge. Something really bound to slice of life genres, school life, a childhood friend. Same old same old. Fall in love, stumble on an obstacle yaadayadayada, the end.

Well not the case for this eroge. It’s a huge spoiler so I’m not going to say it, but after the first route you’re going to be confused, shocked even at what happens. That, is what makes this eroge different.

Oh and it’s best you finish the entire eroge completely. This eroge has a final route. Then again, the routes unlocks in order of one another so you can’t go to another girls route without first doing the route above her.

The next best thing is the sense of humor. Throughout the eroge, you’ll find that this writer has quite a sense of humor lol. It does sometimes reach slapstick levels which makes this not seem like slice of life, but when it’s a serious situation at least they don’t crack lame jokes.

The sci fi element for this eroge can’t really be considered sci-fi…. Hmmm, let’s put it this way.

It’s not star wars. It’s quite a lot less sci-fi from something like chobits too. It’s more like an addon. Not the main point of the story. IMO that is.

The romance focus on this eroge too is huge. Actually I think it’s just made up of that and the club activities. There wasn’t any actual classroom scenes about anything happening in the classroom come to think of it.

Anyway, you will get a huge dose of love as most of your would be interested in. Dates included. Unfortunately though, there are bad ends in this eroge so… be prepared?

You’ll also find this eroge being quite evil in the sense of playing with your emotions. Up and downs are pretty common here.

All in all, I would say this eroge has a very wonderful story which is quite an important aspect for this eroge I would say. It’s what drives this. Also the sense of satisfaction and relief when you finish this eroge, priceless. The focus on Yui is meh though, GIVE ME MOAR NAGISA!

Characters

秋山 奏 (Akiyama Sou)

Sou is kinda a… tsukkomi protag. But he’s a good natured guy overall and at the very least understands what he’s doing most of the time. As usual he’s a kind dude which makes every girl around him fall head over heels in love with him. Meh.

Unexpectedly, quite an interesting character

佐々木 佳織 (Sasaki Kaori)

Childhood friend character. The usual, kind and understanding. Diligent in doing anything. Sou is currently staying in her home due to his parents never being in. Very obviously has feelings for Sou. Obviously.

支倉 愛理 (Hasekura Airi)

Intelligent and hardworking character. Who happens to have a mighty kick. She’s also the leader of the astronomy club. Pretty much skilled in almost everything and is usually the only one who understands what Nagisa is talking about. Tomboyish character sorta.

史上最強のキク

華宮 凪沙 (Hanamiya Nagisa)

The oldest in the club and undoubtedly the most dangerous person in the entire school. She’s from a very powerful family and she herself is not one to be trifled with. A genius, but a lonely one. Loves to bully Sou just for the fun of it. Also full of mysteries. Also she had too little screen time dammit. TOO LITTLE I TELL YA!

She has a great flair for cooking

古川 ゆい (Furukawa Yui)

The mysterious transfer student who Sou found naked. A gentle person who does things at her own pace. Rather clumsy too. Lots of things are unknown about her. Mystery character. A LOT of focus on her.

Hawt.

Art

Well obviously, OBVIOUSLY, this is the most goddamned powerful thing in this eroge.  The freaking art is gorgeous.

Not to mention in this eroge, the characters mouths move and blink. These two are a killer combination.

Also realised this artist has a taste for different tones from reality. Like lots of purple and blue are in the picture. It makes the image seem surreal which is a good thing, since it is art after all. Wonderful stuff.

The SD CGs are also something you can really laugh at. Which is a good thing.

Music

You know it’s kinda sad to say this, but I loved the soundtrack. I love it, but I really don’t like the OP song. I don’t know why exactly but I think this song doesn’t really fit the eroge.

But that’s just me. Everything else though, is great. A good mix of awesome and average tracks but nothing that destroys your ears.

H scenes

There’s a total of 17 H scenes in this eroge, which is quite an amount for an eroge of this theme IMO. Expect quality.

But I get bored with H scenes very easily nowadays. I actually skipped through most of them >_>;

Still the few I read were good.

Conclusion

All in all great eroge. Not the best but still quite a lot above average and I can safely say it doesn’t bore you to death.

Even if the art doesn’t impress you, the story isn’t subpar either. Great stuff overall, I expect more good things to come out of Trumple.

Now if they’ll only make Suiheisen no.2…

Anyway, back to the point. I’m going to get back to writing the blog, however slowly I may take. I realised a lot of good eroges has been produced during the time I was out running around in the jungles. A good time to return I guess. You can expect to see some reviews up in a few weeks as I only get weekends off and that usually becomes one day because of extremely weird reasons.

So after a bit of thinking, I decided to just write really short summaries about the eroges I have been playing but have no time to actually write long winded reviews about.

WHITE ALBUM2 -introductory chapter-

What can I say about this…. It is just… drama. A lot of it. As expected from Leaf I would say. I personally liked this quite a lot since it is slice of life and down the earth in a sense. Those who liked the first white album or this kind of genre would absolutely dig this. Music was horrendous though. Overall quality is amazing.

素晴らしき日々

At first it came off as wtf is wrong with this eroge for the first few moments. But after that, it really shined. It’s a mind fuckery game for sure but it deals with a lot more than just that. You’ll really regret not playing this as this is probably one of the titles that I like the most now. Amazing script.

暁の護衛～罪深き終末論～

As expected from Akatsuki works, this is better than average. Continues off the other two eroges in this series but there is still no actual end in sight. Compared to the first where the idea was more fresh, now it seems a little draggy. But it show the direction it was going and what is probably going to happen so I’ll let that pass. Worth to read if you have finished the prequels IMO.

アッチむいて恋

Don’t tell me. I know. I have no idea why I played this. It’s funky and funny to fill the gaps I guess. Incredibly average but still a fun read. Nothing stands out at all though, save for the cute art.

置き場がない！

Didn’t expect the day to come where I’ll facepalm on an Akabee product but this is it. This eroge is filled with LAWWWWLLLLLL and jokes. Giant robot living in a city. Of course there are other things to mention but the point is that it’s something akin to WLO. A laugh fest. Fun read, but in terms of depth….. well that’s another story.

PrismRhythm-プリズムリズム-

I always had a thing for Lump of Sugar as they did make some wonderful eroges, but this is painfully average. It was somewhat draggy with no real sense of a climax. The whole eroge ended with me going “that’s it?”. The idea too is somewhat overused so I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone really.

君の名残は静かに揺れて

Two words. PLAY THIS. This, is like one of the best releases EVA. I liked this at least 3 times more than Flyable Heart even though it’s so much shorter.There’s some really good writing in this coupled with a more dramatic storyline. Pretty sure most people would like reading this. Oh and it’s not whacky like Flyable heart but rather more down to earth. Actually scratch that, it is down to earth.

エヴォリミット

Oh what can I say. I just love it when these two are together. Granted Evolimit is not to the tier of where Asairo is sitting, but it is still very much a fufilling eroge to read coupled with interesting scenes and events that won’t bore you. Lacks a surprise element but nevertheless a must play.

bittersmile.

I love Giga. I really do. They make such lovely eroges that just make me beam. But this, is quite…. boring for a slice of life eroge. The events are bland and you could see what is going to happen a mile away. I ctrled so many times that it’s not funny. Needs quite a lot of work to make it better.

Foreword

Mmm, didn’t expect anything out of this eroge to be honest but I got a pretty nice surprise. It had a really bad first impression, but improved after some time which made it pretty fun actually.

Story

You start off as Seigi (Literally Justice btw), an extremely dumb protag who is really simple minded at best.

Going to school every morning, rushing off to buy anime/eroge goods and going back home.

One night though, he forgot his stuff and went back to school to get it. Well bad timing, cause there’s a giant robot battle in tha middle of nowhere!

Added bonus, Jizel is the one controlling one of the robots! What would happen to him now!?

Too lazy to write anymore since it’s pretty much very whacky from this point on.

There are a few things to note about RuneLord. Number one on the list is the extremely subpar starting. The writing was, in my opinion, almost complete rubbish during the parts where Jizel pulls Seigi into her world (this ain’t much of a spoiler srsly). The whole part made no sense at all. The only possiblity of that happening is that Seigi has a brain the size of a nut, which doesn’t really make it any better.

The story does get a lot better after the initial stumble though, a lot better. Makes me wonder if another writer was used for the starting part because of the huge disparity.

Which beings me to my next point, this eroge is more or less a shounen genre type. Fighting through waves of impossibly strong enemies with a few people, shouting skills when executing them would be much faster, not very intelligent protags always winning the fight. Still I got to hand it to them for making this into a pretty fun story to read, especially because of the climax and ending, since I totally did not expect that one bit.

This storyline is also linear. Which means there are no separate routes, well no actual ones anyway. There is the date chapter where you get to choose who to “date”, but it has no effect on the story whatsoever.

The immense focus on fantasy and mecha would be either a turn off or turn on. If you don’t like robots fighting, then this title wouldn’t have that much to offer you.

So all in all this is a pretty decent shounen mecha story with the usual explosions and dumb “I will win all” protag. Despite the initial disappointment, the rest of it delivers well and is pretty much an enjoyable ride.

Characters

鋼 正義  (Hagane Seigi)

A very…… unique protagonist. In other words, he’s probably one of the most brainless protagonist I’ve seen yet. He’s incredibly simple minded, thinks that everything would go well, even more so than Shiro. Somewhat blunt and moves in a straight line I would say. How can girls fall for him is still a great mystery but I’ll put that aside for now.

ジゼル=オリンピアダ (Jizel Orinpiada)

Nuclear, gravity defying boobs. Has a serious personality usually, but gets embarrassed very easily. I wouldn’t say she’s tsundere, but she ain’t very honest with stuff that’s for sure.

Aggressive when angered.

ゲルダ=ゼセブラント (Geruda  Zesebrant)

Carefree and a little badmouthed. Pretty self centered too. Has a lot of confidence when doing something even though she may absolutely suck in it. A character that moves in her own pace.

お姫様抱っこ！

アネット=ガブリエル (Annet Gabriel)

Loli chara. Bright and simple minded (Nowhere close to Seigi). A little clumsy and panicky at times but always manages to pull through.

She looks better with her hair down srsly.

System

Since it’s linear, you don’t get that many choices that actually matter. The whole interface feels a little old and outdated compared to most other engines and it seems to respond slower too. Other than that it’s pretty ok.

CG and Animation

The cgs in this eroge are very anime looking, shading and sorts are not as prominent as other styles. But there are a lot of cgs so I guess I can overlook that. The cgs are kinda contrasty and mostly focused on one color theme. In this case it’s blue.

Now I have a very very huge problem with the 3D that is present in this eroge. I know, maybe I’m just being an ass when it comes to this, but the quality of the 3D models is crap. I can see the edges of the polygons without even needing them to turn on polyframe. The really unimpressive textures doesn’t make it better either.

I’m not requesting them to make something like Muramasa, which is really awesome 3D quality btw. Making low poly models, shitty textures and they’re all stills is just a no go. There wasn’t even an animated shot of the robots fighting. The hell is the point of making it low poly. Skimping so much on quality.

Now that I’ve got that out of my system, let’s continue.

Music

Music is very typical. It’s not bad but you could practically guess the next note because of how typical and boring it is. It gets the job done fine, but I wish they could have something special, or at least have it at a higher quality as you could hear the lack of it.

H scenes

There are a total of 3 H scenes for each character. Most with the usual choice of in or outs. Nothing extremely hardcore but some of the characters do hound after Seigi like a sex depraved animal. Would have liked better voice acting too since I didn’t quite feel the emotion in the words while in the H scenes. Other than that pretty decent overall.

Last Word

I did enjoy RuneLord despite the 3D characters which were a huge eyesore. The fun is only limited for one run though, which is fine considering it is absolutely linear so everything you play the first time would have no repetition. You gotta like mecha and be able to tolerate the dumbass protag though, so do note these two important points XD

Foreword

I wouldn’t say this game is bad, however it’s not interesting enough. The extremely linear type of story doesn’t seem to help either. Owarinaki was better in almost every aspect when compared to this. Seriously.

Story

You start off as Yuuma, the usual, woken up in the morning by his childhood friend and just being an all round nice and normal student. But all that is about to end when walking back home one night, he saw…

Two girls fighting. He first thought it was just for film or something as the movements were impossibly fast. But then he realized, the golden haired girl was protecting the houses behind her.

Then one of the spinning discs flew towards Yuuma. By some miracle, the golden haired girl managed to save him. She orders him to run for his life, which he did promptly.

But being the kind and dumb protag that plagues 90% of the eroges, he goes back, never leaving a girl alone to fend for herself. Reaching her though, she was already cornered and right about to lose. All hope seems lost when…

Yuuma turns into a sword. No really. So obviously they won. Rule of this game, the one with the bigger weapon wins.

Anyway, the golden haired explained to him that he was what she is trying to find and that he probably has the power to take over the universe. Or destroy it. Or whatever.

So when she asked for his help, of course he agreed. Then she said…

Please die

So…. what would happen to him now?

END

Now, I feel personally that this story is pretty pathetic. Parallel worlds are fun and all, but there isn’t any depth in this. It’s more or less an attack -> fend off -> attack -> fend off -> Boss cycle.

I mean sure, fights are interesting while they lasted. But it seemed really… typical, with the idea that the last battle would contain some extremely powerful weapons that miraculously appears to save the day. TBH it’s like power rangers all girls edition. Then again, I was never a huge fan for this genre so maybe some of you may find this more of a turn on than off.

Another really funny point is that they have this. Yes, it’s a gigantic spaceship. Oh but wait, they don’t have any robots, nor do they actually have any space fights or even a decent ship which can destroy planets. I mean come on, when you have the tech to build someone as huge as this which supposedly holds tens of thousands of humans, you can pretty damned well build something that destroy planets like killing ants.

Some things just don’t add up that well in this eroge.

The one thing they did right though, was the jokes. Bottom line, it is a fun ride to read to the end even though the story was somewhat shallow.

The one thing that leaves me more or less unsatisfied with this eroge is the repetitiveness. It is almost exactly like sugar coat freaks, the actual story ends and then the individual character arcs begin. So apparently who you love does not affect the entire universe after all.

Ahes’s and Youko’s route will be unlocked after the first run through.

All in all, this eroge is 121% focused on the characters and the moe factor of girls having weapons twice the size of their body. Owarinaki was kinda the same character centered story but it’s a pretty big gap in terms of script quality. It may just be me and my slice of life personality kicking in, but this just really isn’t my cup of tea.

Characters

赤城 優真 (Akagi Yuuma)

The protagonist who is the epitome of kindness. He’s really weak against girls and pretty much more on the timid side. Hardworking though.

ナーティア・アガトラム (Nadia Agatram)

Princess from a parallel world. Not well equipped with knowledge of the outside world, she doesn’t understand quite a lot sometimes. Very straightforward and do what she believes is right. She is still a princess though, so she’s much more calm than most of the other characters.

パンツは正義だ！

イルダーナ・ラファーダ (Ildana Lafada)

Ildana is wandering throughout worlds trying to find her parents. She steals from time to time to keep herself alive. Carefree and optimistic, she causes quite a lot of problems every time. Also very interested in ero.

Wonder what’s better, the fact that she’s in her underwear or that she’s reading ero books

アレサ・モール (Aretha Moll)

Saved by Yuuma when she was dying of hunger. She’s a very sharp tongued loli, equipped with really painful words. A huge eater, she carries that neko machine thing around with her which has the ability to produce food anywhere. Very childish, not very different from her looks.

Like I said, it’s more or less size wins all

アーエス・カーニュエール (Ahes Kanuel)

Their enemy, Ahes is a aggressive and persistent foe who assaults Yuuma and gang. Cute but misguided. Very much like a normal girl. Has the ability to shoot lightning bolts, but it’s not really stable in Yuuma’s would so she prefers to use weapons up close and personal. Happens to be my favourite \o/.

Hides behind a mask of silence and solitude

高階 耀子 (Takashina Youko)

Youko is Yuuma’s childhood friend. As usual, she’s the type that wakes him up every morning, takes care of Yuuma and has jealousy moments when Yuuma is being nice to other girls.  A little more on the violent side, but still overall a somewhat emotional cute type.

System

Choices are really straightforward. It’s normally either a choice between two characters or just plain right or wrong. There’s not really much possibility of you going off track unless you want to just for the kicks.

CG and Animation

The one very prominent thing about the art is definately the color choice. The whole palette is full of bright and saturated colors that just makes everything look really…. colorful. The style though, involves the usual pointy end chins and rounded faces though in this it’s not as round as most others.

Hair designs leans heavily towards anime styled stuff.

The characters in the eroge blink btw, and their mouths move while they talk. Interesting, but I’ve seen that enough in Owarinaki and this isn’t really a good story to be made into kinda a movie styled eroge.

The SD CGs however, is hilarious. They captured the features of the characters really well and the style is awesome.

Music

No music mode, but the music is Boo. It sounds like a generic old game with not much interesting tune or anything. Sound effects were pretty blehhhh too, way too overdone. Metal hitting metal shouldn’t be that high pitched.

H scene

H scenes are pretty decent, with 3 for every character and some contains content that are more than just insert and explode. Still, the H scenes are cramped into the last part of the story, making it just a H scene block in the storyline. Didn’t find the H scenes terribly interesting since the setting has already made me lose quite an amount of interest,

Last Word

Shapeshifter looks pretty fun at first glance but declines steadily as it goes along through the story as there is a huge lack of depth. It’s mediocre IMO. I have always believed that eroges takes more than just a lot of characters with different moe points to do well.

Oh and I prefer Owarinaki to this. A lot more.

Foreword

Meh. I had average expectations of this after what happened with volume 7. I did not however, expect it to be such a huge letdown. It ends at the most inappropriate times which just doesn’t make sense. What happened to the awesomeness that was Katahane?

Story

You start off as Elmo, a guy living alone in a shack in the outskirts of town.

He’s the caretaker of the cemetery nearby, cleaning the graves up and tidying the place. That is his job, or should I say one of his jobs.

He’s also the gatekeeper of Tuesday, protecting the existence of Tuesday every Tuesday night where a card battle that spans through worlds start.

So he happened to be walking along the lake one fine day and he saw…

a girl lying beside the lake. What would be the changes, now with this new mysterious girl?

END

Now, the story does seem to be interesting right? Right! But you know what went wrong? They didn’t even tell the story. Or finish telling it I should say.

One beeeeg problem here, is the fact that they left too many things hanging. They said this whole bunch of interesting things that should have meant something, but it did not appear again to prove the point. What happened to the 七曜の王?  What about the truth behind everything? What about Arumand? What about… Well you get the idea.

This eroge’s pacing is also more towards slice of life and the slow side. So some may find it to be more of a bore. I do like slower stories though so =>

Enough of the bad things. The setting and theme of the eroge is something that’s pretty intriguing. You have fantasy characters, such as Ottorino and fairies. It’s set in early europe, with grasslands and mountains. It’s an interesting mix. Oh and this eroge has a slightly european feel to it too, the way people act and so on.

For the routes, you have to finish all 3 of the routes to be able to get to Sarah’s route. Oh and I warn you, even though it might look like a true route, it does not solve anything. At all. Yes. Retarded.

That concludes the story section. I found the story to be the weakest thing in this eroge, which isn’t a good thing as this sure as hell wasn’t meant to be a ero fest. It could have been soooooo much better =/

Characters

エルモ・コスタ (Elmo Costa)

Elmo is a boy who was found beside a lake one fine day and was later brought up by Arumand, the caretaker. But for some reason, Arumand disappeared, leaving Elmo to take over his place, fighting to not lose Tuesday. He’s also the extremely kind protag type, who’s 鈍感 and attracts girls without noticing. But he has a sensible streak in him, which makes him bearable.

ヘレン・フォルト (Helen Fort)

The girl that Elmo found beside the lake. She happens to be a relative of Gaspare the village head, so she’s currently staying at his house. Bright and pure, she does things in her own way always with a smile. A little hyperactive. Sticks to Elmo quite a lot.

She’s a pretty simple girl overall

コレット・マレ (Colette Marais)

Colette is Elmo’s childhood friend. She’s has an illness so she’s weak and moves around in a wheelchair. There are two fairies following her around, Jalapeno and Taberuno who is pretty much a 漫才 combi. Colette is slightly tsundere and it’s pretty damned obvious she has feelings for Elmo.

She doesn’t really look tsundere here though

モニカ・ラング (Monika Lang)

Monika is a travelling street performer who came over to the village to ask about Arumand. She brings around with her a donkey and a pink monkey. Has quite a bit of pride and does what she thinks is right. A little softhearted but doesn’t lack in common sense. Also wears the tall hat for some weird reason.

Juggling pro

サラ・デュラン (Sarah Dullin)

The only child in the Duran household (which happens to be rich). She was the one who found Elmo when he was lying beside the lake. Also a childhood friend. Her relationship with Elmo is pretty tangled up since her mother tries to object Sarah to be in contact with Elmo. But Sarah likes being with Elmo. She’s more of a shy and silent character.

She’s cute in her own way

System

Choices are straightforward, nothing too roundabout. Quite a decent lot of choices though.

CG and Animation

Well the artist’s style doesn’t seem to have changed one bit since Katahane (actually it may have degraded).

Characters have a more circular face compared to most other drawings, and his choice of colors seem to be a notch better than average. Still, it’s not entirely unique with the classic anime shading style and the not-so-wonderfully done backgrounds.

Some cgs are really really simple though. I would have preferred them to use SD cgs if they weren’t going to bother with the detail too.

Music

Music has a touch of medieval. Pretty nice, better than most average eroges out there. I liked the ed song too, but the OP song had way too much guitar in it to get the feel out right IMO.

H scenes

The H scenes were actually pretty….. bland. Let’s just say it wasn’t something that will make you continue playing the game. It’s simply just… H. The most they went was like typical positions. They did have 3p though, which brings me to the other point.

Some H scenes has to be unlocked by other H scenes. No rly. It’s Katahane all over again, except Kata had some stories and this doesn’t. What’s more, they only put in one scenes for Sarah ( I don’t consider the 3P scene as Sarah). What the hell. And she was like my favourite character.

Last word

I know all of you are tired of me saying this, but I’ll say it again. This eroge had the potential to be so much more. This time round though, this eroge really had the potential to be EPIC. The writer just blew it. Srsly.

This eroge is a very huge letdown all around, with the story being the worst element in the game, which just kills the entire thing. Best to avoid this. I can only hope they’ll remake this or something. Just… don’t play this.
